IMA Annual Conference

About the conference

We hold our main annual conference, the most significant event for the Irish museum community, in a different location across Ireland each year. 

A themed discussion, it both informs and is informed by the overall programme of the IMA and reflects issues of interest to the Irish museums community and the wider cultural sector.

It presents an opportunity for museum professionals, academics, and practitioners from the wider cultural landscape to network, share knowledge and expertise, and influence the development of the sector.

The Irish Museums Association's 2025 Annual Conference, Collections in Transition: the life cycle of objects, will be held in Tralee, Co. Kerry from 5th to 7th March 2025.
