Riann Coulter

Dr Riann Coulter was elected to the board of directors of the Irish Museums Association in 2017 and elected vice-chair of the Irish Museums Association in October 2020.
She is a curator and art historian specialising in Irish and British modern and contemporary art.
She studied at Trinity College Dublin and the Courtauld Institute of Art, London and has held a post-doctoral fellowship at the Paul Mellon Centre for British Art and the Irish Research Council's Government of Ireland Post-doctoral Fellowship. She has 17 years experience curating and co-curating exhibitions for regional and national institutions throughout Ireland including the Irish Museum of Modern Art, Royal Hibernian Academy, National Gallery of Ireland, National Museums Northern Ireland and the F.E. McWilliam Gallery where she is currently curator and manager.
Riann is a former board member of the Northern Ireland Museums Council and currently serves on the board of trustees of National Museums Northern Ireland.
