Survey: copyright and artificial intelligence in the creative sectors
4 May 2021
The deadline to participate on the survey of the study on copyright and artificial intelligence in the creative sectors, which is conducted by Technopolis Group on behalf of the European Commission (Directorate General CNECT), has been extended.
Please find the endorsement letter signed by the European Commission in the following link: https://www.technopolis-group.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/04/Letter-of-support_DG_CNECT_CR_and_NewTech-1.pdf
The survey will be open until May 14th under the following link: https://technopolis.limequery.com/142659?lang=en
This survey aims to collect views on the current copyright framework in situations such as the use of copyright-protected works to train artificial intelligence algorithms, or the use of artificial intelligence to generate output in the creative sector.
Please note that the survey contains two questionnaires in one. Based on your familiarity with IP concepts, you will be redirected either to a survey for legal experts or to a survey to other relevant stakeholders.
The answers will be analysed anonymously, and the results will be presented in aggregate form in the report of the study. They will enrich the discussion on different policy scenarios for tackling legal issues identified by the legal team working in this study.
The report will be published by the European Commission.
