Seven museums awarded MSPI accreditation

In a letter today to MSPI participants and stakeholders, the CEO of the Heritage Council of Ireland, Virginia Teehan, has announced accreditation for the following MSPI Participants which submitted applications last autumn (2019):

  • Carlow County Museum (Interim Accreditation)
  • Cork Public Museum (Interim Accreditation)
  • Glebe House & Gallery, OPW (Interim and Full Accreditation)
  • IFI The Irish Film Archive (Interim & Full Accreditation)
  • Kilmainham Gaol, OPW (Full Accreditation)
  • Little Museum of Dublin (Full Accreditation)
  • Hunt Museum (Maintenance of Accreditation)

They join the following Participants for which the Heritage Council confirmed Maintenance of Accreditation in December 2019:

  • The Shackleton Museum (formerly Athy Heritage Centre-Museum)
  • Fota House, Irish Heritage Trust
  • Waterford Treasures: Bishop’s Palace
  • Waterford Treasures: Medieval Museum

The Irish Museums Association wishes to join the Heritage Council in congratulating the above mentioned museums for their hard work and achievement.
