New interactive map: Climate Change Action in Museums

In a new interactive map, NEMO – the Network of European Museum Organisations is collecting and showcasing how many museums in Europe already are acting on the climate crisis. With this mapping, NEMO wants to demonstrate museums' strength in creating awareness, adapting, and fighting climate change and inspire others to get active.

The map includes several good practice examples to take inspiration from and source ideas of how to get started. It also provides proof and arguments for policymakers and civil society alike that museums are agents of change and excellent allies in climate action and social change.

We know that many museums across Europe already contribute with climate action, but that it goes by unnoticed - the more entries to the map the better since there is strength in numbers. By joining forces, we can create a museum community that is steering the topic forward and show that museums can make an impact and difference for the planet.
