New General Manager appointed at GPO Museum

GPO Museum have announced the appointment of Ann-Marie Smith as the new General Manager.

Ann-Marie has over 20 years of experience working in the museum and visitor attraction sector. She has previously worked in Kilmainham Gaol Museum, the GAA Museum, Glasnevin Cemetery Museum and Seamus Heaney: Listen Now Again (NLI). Ann-Marie was part of the opening management team at GPO Witness History in 2016, where she was the Education Manager. She is truly passionate about Ireland’s history and culture; and engaging and sharing our history through the visitor experience. She is delighted to return to GPO Museum.

GPO Museum (formerly GPO Witness History) opened in March 2016 and was one of the Irish Government’s key flagship projects as part of the Decade of Centenaries. The award winning GPO Museum is located in the historic and iconic GPO building and takes the visitor on a journey through Irish History from 1900 to 2016.
