Museum Ireland Vol 28 now available

The Irish Museums Association is delighted to launch the annual journal, Museum Ireland Vol. 28.

An important record of the Irish museum landscape in 2021, through case-studies and thought pieces, the IMA journal is essential reading for those keen to learn more about contemporary museum practice.

Articles reflect new thinking and developments in the Irish museums sector: citizen curatorship, decolonisation in the museum, co-production and co-creation in community engagement, museums in a time of crisis, collecting practices....

Museum Ireland Vol 28 is edited by Dr Briony Widdis, with articles by David Anderson; Olusegun Morakinyo; Ann Scroope; Madeline O’Neill; Dr David Farrell-Banks & Lisa Rea Currie; Lynsey Gillespie & Laura Aguiar; Paul Allison, Collette Brownlee & Ciaran Toal; Niamh Baker; Adam Stoneman, Jason Carvallo, Enrico Daga, Mark Maguire & Paul Mulholland; Donal Fallon; Polina Shikina; and foreword by Gina O'Kelly.

Reviews of new museums and exhibitions taking place during 2021 and books of interest to the museum community were contributed by Michael Waldron, Marie Bourke, Sally O'Dowd, Róisín Kennedy, and Elizabeth Crooke.
