The Braid: Mid-Antrim Museum

Mid-Antrim Museum holds a mixed social history collection, primarily based on the 19th and 20th centuries, reflecting the rich history of Ballymena and the surrounding area. The collection includes commercial, industrial and rural life artefacts and has a range of resources to support those exploring their roots in the area.

The museum develops and delivers a range of temporary exhibitions and community engagement projects, both online and in person, through tourism and heritage initiatives. Recently this has included projects on climate change and sustainability and working with industrial heritage sites along the Causeway Coastal Route. The museum is committed to developing programmes for early years and dementia friendly projects.
