Belturbet Heritage Railway CLG

The Railway Museum at Belturbet Station is maintained by Belturbet Heritage Railway, where the Cavan & Leitrim (C&L) narrow-gauge line connected with the Great Northern Railway (Ireland) broad-gauge branch to Ballyhaise on the Clones to Cavan line, and at Dromod connected to the Midland Great Western Railway mainline from Dublin to Sligo. This line was extended to Arigna in 1920.

The volunteers at Belturbet Heritage Railway are dedicated to the preservation and highlighting the history of the railway, providing tours of the Station building, restoration projects, and a selection of antique machinery from Rural Ireland.
