Museum of Childhood Ireland

The Museum of Childhood Ireland project (MCI P) is an initiative designed to deliver a world-class facility exploring and engaging the themes of childhood in Ireland and internationally. The Museum will have as its principal objective the collecting, curating and exhibiting of historical artefacts. Their primary aim is to create meaningful and lasting experiences for both children and adults to share.
The Museum of Childhood Ireland adopts a wide-angle approach to childhood that is both island-wide and international in scope. Because there is no singular narrative that captures childhood / youth experiences in Ireland, they present an inclusive and holistic view of historical and contemporary childhood to inspire critical reflection and stimulate important and timely conversations about childhood in all its complex forms.
