#IMACoffeeBreak: Shared learnings - reopening a museum
08 July | 12:00 - 12:45
Irish Museums Association
Event Address
Online

With the Republic of Ireland entering Phase 3 of the government's Roadmap to Recovery on the 29 June, museums in this jurisdiction have started to reopen their doors and welcome back their audiences.
The IMA has invited representatives from a diverse range of museums to join us for a panel discussion and share their initial experiences and thoughts following reopening to the public. Focusing on expectations vs realities, re-engaging audiences, staff and collections among other topics; this session is aimed not only at those museums still in the planning stage but will also provide an opportunity to benchmark and share approaches for those who have already reopened.
The Panel will be formed by Aoife Hurley, Head of Operations, National Museum of Ireland; Norma Cuddihy, Head of Operations, Crawford Art Gallery; Savina Donohoe, Museum Curator, Cavan County Museum; and Naomi O'Nolan, Head of Exhibitions and Collection, Hunt Museum.
The IMA's coffee break sessions are free to attend and aimed at providing support and connectivity to our museum network through regular themed meetings that can be joined from the comfort of your home or office.
They are open to IMA members only - click here for information on membership benefits and fees (ranging from as little as €50 per year for individuals/€100 for organisations).
