29 November | 11:15 - 13:00

Event Address

The next museum visit will be to the National Transport Museum in Howth on Saturday 29 September at 11:15 - 13:00. This is a free event and members are encouraged to bring a guest. Prospective members are also welcome. Meet at 11:15 at the entrance to the museum at the Heritage Depot, Howth Desmesne.

Located on the grounds of Howth Castle, the National Transport Museum is home to nearly 200 former working models of trams and motor vehicles of both public service and commercial road transport, spanning over 120 years of Irish Transport History.

The earliest exhibits at the museum date back to 1883, some of which are the last working models of many a vehicle that were once common sights on the roads of Ireland. At any one time there are 60 vehicles on exhibition, split into Passenger, Commercial, Fire & Emergency, Military and Utility displays.
