Stories, science, sounds, signs… what are the experiences and objects that reflect our everyday lives during the COVID-19 pandemic?

Over the past 18 months, museums across the island have been researching and recording material that will allow future generations to learn about and understand this period of our history. We invite you to join us for this online curator’s discussion, with Brenda Malone, National Museum of Ireland; Nathan Mannion from EPIC The Museum of Irish Emigration, Dr Collette Brownlee from Irish Linen Centre and Lisburn Museum, and Harriet Wheelock from The Royal College of Physicians of Ireland’s Heritage Centre.

The panel will share their thinking and approaches to collecting the present for the future, providing insight to what is being collected, how decisions are made, and the role that the public play in helping them shape these collections.

This discussion is taking place under the umbrella of National Heritage Week 2021, an initiative of the Heritage Council of Ireland
