Know Your Visitors: Visitor Services & Irish Museums

The Irish Museums Association, in association with Waterford Museum of Treasures is holding a one day training seminar on visitor services in Irish Museums. The aim of the day is to provide both strategic vision and practical advice on how to meet the diverse needs of the modern museum visitor.

Topics to be covered include cultural tourism, public relations, practical visitor services in Irish Museums, improving access in museums, and the dos and don'ts of museum tour guiding. The event has been devised in consultation with the Heritage Council's Museum Standards Programme for Ireland.
