The IMA Forum: Textile Collections will take place on the 18th October in Dublin from 9:30 to 17:00. Comprising ten 15-minute presentations and a workshop, it provides an opportunity for practitioners to present their work and share knowledge with others working with collections in museums, galleries and cultural institutions.

Speakers: Anne Hodge, National Gallery; Eamonn McEneaney, Waterford Museum of Treasure; Madeleine McAllister, Down County Museum; Ariane Factor, National Botanic Gardens; Edith Andrees, National Museum of Ireland - Decorative Arts & History; Sara O'Hara, Cork Textiles Network; Rachel Sayers, Freelance museum professional; Karen Horton, Textile Conservator; Rachel Phelan, Textile Conservator; Dora Murphy, National Museum of Ireland - Conservation Department; and workshop on preventative conservation with Cliodna Davitt, Textile Conservator.
The IMA Forums programme, Collections and Education & Outreach, aims to establish a platform for cultural & museum professionals to:
- Discuss and debate
- Identify of key issues and concerns
- Engage with colleagues and facilitate of partnerships
Attendance fee is €5/£4 for IMA members, €15/£12 for non-members.
