IMA Annual Field Trip - Waterford

The Irish Museums Association would like to invite Members, prospective members and guests to visit the Waterford City's Historic District on our upcoming Annual Field Trip. This year, the IMA Field Trip will take place on Saturday 26 May. We will be taking a tour throughout Waterford's history, visiting Reginald's Tower, the Franciscan Friary, Bishop's Palace (opened summer 2011) & preview two medieval buildings not yet open to the public - 13th century Chorister's Hall and 15th century Mayor's Wine Vault.
The detailed itinerary is as follows:
11:15-13:30: Tour of the Treasures of Viking Waterford, housed in Reginald's Tower, & the Franciscan Friary.
13:00-14:00: Lunch
14:00-16:15: Tour of the Bishop's Palace, which charts the history of Waterford from 1700 to 1970, and the 13th Century Choristers Hall and 15th century Mayor's Wine Vault, currently not open to the public.
IMA Member - €15/£12, Non-member - €20/£17. Lunch is at own expense but there will be no entrance fees payable. Please note that, as with all IMA events, numbers are limited (with priority given to IMA members) and booking is essential.
