CHARTER – European Cultural Heritage Skills Alliance Irish National Stakeholder Day
11 December | 09:00 - 18:00
CHARTER – European Cultural Heritage Skills Alliance
CHARTER – European Cultural Heritage Skills Alliance is the EU Erasmus+ Blueprint project for sectoral cooperation on skills for cultural heritage (2021-2024).
The CHARTER mission is to sustainably protect, promote and enhance European cultural heritage by creating a lasting and comprehensive sectoral skills strategy, bridging gaps between education and vocational systems and employers’ needs, and propose training and curricula for the development of new skills for heritage professionals.
On Monday 11th December 2023 CHARTER will hold an Irish National Stakeholder Day. The event will include:
⮚ an introduction to the CHARTER project
⮚ presentations by and discussions with heritage organisations and further education and training providers in Ireland and the UK
⮚ an overview of regional case studies on heritage skills and training carried out across Europe
⮚ workshop sessions involving Irish and CHARTER stakeholders.
CHARTER invites public and private sector bodies, education/training providers and non-profit / civil society institutions and groups with an interest in cultural heritage practice and training, to attend this important event.
This day is an unequalled opportunity to explore the Irish cultural heritage ecosystem, learn from other regions and to forge new alliances and synergies with European stakeholders. With a common interest in safeguarding our shared cultural heritage resources and creating sustainable strategies for the sector, the project partners will benefit from hearing your views on cultural heritage education, occupational and employment realities in Ireland.
Please register your interest on the booking link before 13 October 2023 so they can estimate numbers interested in attending. If you feel that this event would interest other organisations in your network, please forward this invitation.
The registration link with the details of the programme will be recirculated before the end of October.
