Visitor Services of the Office of Public Works currently seek enthusiastic people to join their dedicated Guide Teams at National Monument/National Historic Property Sites under their remit.

Guides represent the public face of the OPW, showcasing Ireland’s most important heritage sites. The Guide Service plays a vital role in conserving and presenting selected sites and ensuring the safety and enjoyment of the visitors.

Heritage Guides provide unique and memorable experiences for visitors from all over the world. It is a rewarding and enjoyable job for those who enjoy sharing their expertise and enthusiasm with others.

This competition will be used to fill a range of temporary/seasonal posts over the next year.

The duration of seasonal employment may vary, depending on the local operational requirements. The hours, commencement dates and completion dates of the season
may also vary for the same reasons.

Salary range: €14.39 - €22.82 per hour. Candidates should note that entry will be at the minimum point of the Guide scale and will not be subject to negotiation.
