Crawford Art Gallery is seeking to appoint a Learn & Explore Assistant on a Permanent Contract of Employment basis to join the Learn & Explore Department.

The role of the Learn & Explore Assistant is to assist with the day-to-day administration of the Learn & Explore Department including workshop and talks, room set up, artist bookings, material orders and resource preparation.

The L&E Assistant will administer the online and in-person bookings for learning events and liaise with the webmaster to update the Learn and Explore section of the gallery website. In addition, the successful candidate will gather and report data for quarterly and annual reports to funders, stakeholders and the Department of Tourism, Culture, Arts, Gaeltacht, Sport and Media. A key aspect of the role is to liaise closely with the gallery’s Marketing and Communication department on the promotion of the Learn and Explore programme and specific events.

The post works closely with the Programme Manager, and the Programme Co-ordinator and a team of freelance artists to ensure the efficient and smooth running of the learning programmes.

Salary range: Clerical Officer Scale - PPC: €590.21 - €918.93 per week. Newly appointed public sector entrants will start on the 1st point of scale.
