Travel

By air:

The nearest airport is City of Derry Airport, with scheduled services to and from the UK. Belfast International Airport, Belfast City Airport and Dublin Airport all connect to destinations across Europe and further afield. 

By sea:

Regular, scheduled ferry services operate between Northern Ireland and Great Britain (Stranraer & Cairnryan in Scotland and Liverpool in England) bringing both foot passengers, cars and other vehicles into the area through two ferry ports, Belfast and Larne. There is also ferry service available from Wales via Dublin's two ports, Dublin Port and Dun Laoghaire. Irish Ferries operate from Dublin Port to Holyhead, Wales and Stena Line's HSS (High Speed Sea Service) operates from Holyhead to Dun Laoghaire.

By bus:  

Translink between runs regular services from Belfast (2 hours) and Dublin (4 hours). additional services are provided by Aircoach from Dublin City via Dublin Airport and Belfast International Airport. 

By train:  

For information on train timetables and ticketing information visit the Translink website and Iarnrod Eireann website (travel from Rep. of Ireland to Belfast). 

By car: 

Approximate travel time from Dublin is 3 hours. From Belfast: 90 mins. 

By foot: 

Ulster University Magee Campus is located within the City of Derry, on Northland Road, and is easily accessible by foot or bicycle.
