Internships can vary widely in structure, duration, remuneration and outcomes, we would recommend that terms be read carefully before proceeding with an application. The IMA has taken part in the Working Groups of the following Good Practice documents: Best Practice Guidelines for Internships, by Visual Artists Ireland and the Volunteering in the Arts Toolkit, by Volunteer Ireland and Voluntary Arts Ireland.

    The National Gallery of Ireland wishes to recruit a Painting Conservator in the Conservation Department on a 9 month fixed-term basis. Salary: point 1 of the Assistant Keeper II / Engineer Grade III Salary Scale (PPC), €30,987 per annum. The deadline for receipt of applications is 21 August 2019.
