The RNLI (Royal National Lifeboat Institution) defines its heritage as the ‘the never-ending story of our people'. Their aim is to utilise our extraordinary heritage to help inspire both current and future generations of supporters and lifesavers to enable the RNLI to continue to save lives at sea. To ensure the collection of objects and archives that tell the proud story of this Institution are protected and used in the correct manner, the RNLI has set up an independent trust.

They are looking for an inspirational person to fill this unique opportunity, and are seeking somebody who is currently, or has previously been, a senior professional in the heritage sector.
In particular they are looking for someone with experience as a Trustee or with expertise in the following areas:
• Collections care - conservation and documentation
• Archives (digital and paper based)
