The first in a series of free monthly talks to celebrate Waterford 1100 takes place on Monday 27 January at 7.30 pm in the Medieval Museum, Cathedral Square, Viking Triangle Waterford.
The speaker is Dr Patrick F. Wallace, former Director of the National Museum of Ireland. He was site director of the famous Viking site at Wood Quay in Dublin, and has published widely on Viking settlement in Ireland and Europe. He retired in 2012 after almost 40 years at the National Museum and the title of his talk is ‘Tall tales from the crypt: A lifetime in the National Museum'.
This is a free event, hosted by Waterford Museum of Treasures, all are welcome.
