Photographic Collections - call for papers (IMA Forum)

The IMA would like to invite submissions of papers for its upcoming IMA Forum - Photographic Collections, of interest to curators, archivists and researchers using collections. Submissions may cover a variety of topics relating to the management and history of photographic collections. These include original research; digitisation; case studies; history of collections; education; care and conservation.

The purpose of this forum is to give you a chance to share your findings, debate and engage with others working with photographic collections in museums, galleries and cultural institutions.This half-day event will comprise up to six presentations with allocated time for discussion.

When: Friday 30 November 2012, 13:30-16:30
Where: National Library of Ireland, Kildare Street, Dublin 2 (to be confirmed)
Attendance Fee: Free for IMA members / €5 for non-members



Deadline for abstracts: 24 September 2012.

The allocated time for each presentation is strictly 15 minutes.
The proposal should include: name, organisation (if applicable), contact details, presentation title and abstract (200 words max.) and a short personal bio (80 words max.).
All applicants will be notified by email within two weeks of submission deadline.
Successful applicants will need to confirm presentations' technical requirement details within one week of being notified.
