Writing a Successful Funding Application workshop, NI Museums Council, Cultra (Training)

NI Museums Council are holding 'Writing a Successful Funding Application' with facilitators Stella Byrne(Heritage Lottery FundNI), Eleanor McGrath(Art Fund) and Jerome Grace (Big Lottery Fund) on the 19 February 2019 at Ulster Folk & Transport Museum.

Museums are increasingly under pressure to source external funding to support their activities. This course will explain the funding schemes available from the Heritage Lottery Fund, Art Fund and the Big Lottery Fund. You will receive guidance on how to make a better application to these grant-giving bodies and information on the various stages with the funding application process. The facilitators will also be holding funding surgeries -so come along with your ideas and plans and take the opportunity to talk directly with a funder.

The course will enable participants to:

•Find out more about the funding programmes available
•Understand the criteria for different programmes
•Hear about relevant case studies
•Understand the importance of evaluation
•Avail of funding surgeries with facilitators
