The Irish Museums Association would like to invite museum and educators from the wider cultural sector to submit a proposal for the annual Education and Outreach forum at the NMI in Dublin on the 5 July 2018. The deadline for receipt of submissions is 4pm, Wednesday 6 June 2018.

Held each Spring, this forum is a key event in the calendar for museum practitioners and educators to meet and discuss topics of interest to their learning and engagement programmes. From discussing resources to individual projects, the forum provides an informal platform to reflect and engage with colleagues. It is intended as a place for critical engagement, examination and experimentation of ideas, where a lasting contribution can be made to the development of education in the museum context.
Submissions must be sent by 4pm on Wednesday 6 June 2018 to Gina O'Kelly, Irish Museums Association, at firstname.lastname@example.org and contain:
• Full name, job title and institution (if applicable)
• Email address and telephone number
• Personal Biography (150 words max)
• Proposed Title of presentation
• Presentation Abstract (200 words max)
The forum will consist of short papers of 15 minutes duration with ample time for discussion. Speakers must be available to present in person on 5 July 2018. The language of the forum will be English. Papers are selected by a panel of museum professionals and educators. Detailed information on the members of the panel and selection criteria is available on request.
