National Museums Northern Ireland have a vacancy for a permanent full-time Head of Experience & Enterprise Development. Salary Scale: £48,226-£52,857 (ref HED-0219). The closing date for receipt of applications is 12 noon on Thursday 28 February 2019.
This post will play a key role in the development and delivery of the visitor experience with the highest standards of customer care and excellent levels of engagement for new and existing audiences.
National Museums NI comprises four museums - Ulster Museum, Ulster Folk Museum, Ulster Transport Museum and Ulster American Folk Park - each with distinct roles and personalities. In total we welcome over 800,000 visitors from all ages and backgrounds every year. We manage an Estate comprising of 119 buildings over 5 sites. We directly employ 360 staff and record an annual turnover in the region of £14 million. This post will play a key role in the development and delivery of the visitor experience with the highest standards of customer care and excellent levels of engagement for new and existing audiences. The post is also responsible for leading the co-ordination and development of all revenue generating activity across our sites. As part of the senior leadership team within National Museums NI the post holder will also play a key role in the organisation's culture change programme and team development.
With relevant experience and expertise in understanding customers and the delivery of exceptional services to meet their needs, the successful candidate will also have a strong track record of business development and the delivery of innovative and sustainable commercial activity.
The creation of this role is integral to our transformational change programme focussed on establishing an operating model with a much more integrated focus on audiences and greater long term sustainability. It is a key role within our new Senior Management Team structure.
