Visitor Experience Manager, National Trust - Fermanagh Portfolio

National Trust is seeking to appoint a permanent f/t (37.5 hrs pw) Visitor Experience Manager (Ref: IRC75361) to manage their busy Fermanagh portfolio. Salary: 27,191 pa. The closing date for receipt of applications is 18 Feburary 2019.

Fermanagh has 3 National Trust properties with contrasting and complementary appeal, the magnificent 18th century mansion of Castle Coole and its surrounding park lies at the edge of the county town of Enniskillen; the tranquil and remote Crom Estate, one of the most important nature conservation sites in these islands is set around the shores of Lough Erne; and in west Fermanagh Florence Court stands as a fine example of an eighteenth century Palladian Irish house and estate set in a spectacular countryside location surrounded by mountains and forest.

Welcoming nearly 110,000 visitors to our special places in 2018 our Business Plan outlines continued ambitions for growth along with delivery of a number of significant projects in the next 3 years to further develop our product and appeal.

What you'll be doing

You will lead the property team to deliver a fantastic visitor offer and a warm and friendly welcome. The post-holder will need to work with a variety of internal and external colleagues and lead a team to deliver excellent visitor experience and high levels of service, constantly striving to achieve key performance indicators in a way that cares for the environment and promotes conservation.You'll identify training and development opportunities for your team and volunteers to create a positive and dynamic culture; support excellent team and volunteer satisfaction; and ensure the very best performance is delivered. Working across the busy property, you'll lead for outstanding customer service and efficiency to ensure that every visitor is well looked after; service and presentation standards remain high. You'll deliver the Strategic Marketing and Communications plans for the portfolio to achieve our business objectives and connect people with the work of the Trust as a conservation charity. You'll be accountable for the budget management for your areas, including commercial income, wages and membership targets, and you'll make sure they are connected to our conservation cause and used to grow our support.

Who we're looking for

You'll ensure every visitor gets an excellent welcome, a memorable experience and manage important income streams such as membership recruitment, admissions and commercial income. Developing the marketing strategy and working closely with external tourism partners you will look for opportunities to profile and grow footfall. You'll be working five days a week, including regular weekend days and bank holidays. No two days will be the same and you will need commitment and resilience in spades.
