The National Museum of Ireland (NMI) invites applications for internships within the Education & Outreach Department. Placements can be of 6 - 12 months duration and will be based at the NMI Dublin sites. The deadline date for applications is 5pm, Wednesday 26 April 2017.
The Education and Outreach Department acts as a key point of contact between the Museum's exhibitions and collections and existing and potential audiences. Interns will work with a dynamic team of museum educators, all with many years' experience in delivering education programmes, resources and services to a wide range of audiences.
This is an opportunity to gain valuable experience within an active museum education department whose remit is to develop learning programmes and services for audiences, including primary and post-primary school groups, adults, families and special interest groups.
As an intern, you will be able to observe and participate in the broad range of work of the Department from programme development to delivery and in the administration of services and programmes within this busy department.
As internships are for a minimum of 6 months and maximum of 12 months, they offer a real chance to understand the development of projects and programmes over time.
Please note that this internship is unpaid.
If interested please email: firstname.lastname@example.org with a CV and covering email by 5pm, Wednesday 26th April 2017.
CV must include a minimum of two referees.
Successful Interns will be subject to Garda Vetting
Please note: if you are in receipt of any Social Welfare payment you must have written permission from the Department of Social Protection to participate in this unpaid internship.
